The Upper Skeena Recreation Centre (USRC) is located on the unceded traditional Gitxsan Laxyip in Hazelton and provides a diverse range of recreation and cultural activities for all ages. The USRC was completed in 2019 and is owned by the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine.

The Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine has an advisory committee for the USRC that meets quarterly. Quarterly newsletters are published to keep everyone appraised of ongoing activities.
This multi-purpose, energy efficient facility is located at 2755 Highway 62, and offers over 5000 m2 of space including:
- an NHL-sized ice surface
- a fitness room
- a multi-purpose gym equipped for a variety of sporting events
- meeting spaces to enable community programming, meetings and social gatherings
