This notice is a requirement of the Local Government Act.
The RDKS Board of Directors intend to give a third reading and adopt Kitimat-Stikine Board Procedure Bylaw No. 813, 2025 at the September 19, 2025 Board meeting.
This bylaw governs the conduct of Board and committee meetings and will replace Kitimat-Stikine Board Procedure Bylaw No. 778, 2022.
The proposed Bylaw No. 813 includes the following changes:
- Removes limitations on the number of members, including the Chair and Vice Chair, who may participate electronically.
- Eliminates the requirement for a physical quorum, provided the facilities enable the public to hear or watch and hear the meeting.
The proposed bylaw and the accompanying staff report is available for viewing at the Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine office, Monday to Friday from 8:30am – 4:30pm except statutory holidays, or at the links below:
