COVID-19 - General

Our Office and other facilities were  closed until further notice effective March 17. 2020.

As we entered the next phase of the pandemic and worked towards reopening our office to the public we developed a COVID-19 Safety Plan.  Safety measures were put into place for benefit of our staff and our visitors at the main office located at 4545 Lazelle Ave, in Terrace, BC.

We are committed to maintaining service levels throughout our office. Staff are still working and we are here to help.  Please call our office or email staff to get the information or assistance you need.

COVID-19 - Solid Waste Facilities

yes we're open image

There are no changes to solid waste facility hours or operations; however, we’ve got a few recommendations to ensure the safety off all facility users and staff:

  • Wear a mask when on site
  • Respect social distancing
  • Bag your garbage:
Please put all personal hygiene products, used tissues, sanitary wipes (even those labeled compostable or flushable), paper towels, napkins, cleaning cloths, face masks, gloves, and similar items in plastic bags. Double bag these items if you are sick or caring for someone who is sick.
  • Be patient, as service may take a bit longer respecting COVID-19 recommendations.

Visit our Solid Waste Facilities page for more information.

COVID-19 - Other Facilities
Other facilities such as Thornhill Fire Hall, Thornhill Community Centre, and Thornhill Animal Shelter will remain closed until further notice.
