The Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine and Gitxsan Huwilp Government met today at the Upper Skeena Recreation Centre in the Hazeltons and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), followed by a feast.
The MOU was developed as a first step toward forming a partnership through respectful communications and collaboration. The document is based on guiding principles, which include providing a foundation for establishing and maintaining a cooperative government-to-government relationship and establishing a framework for meaningful communication and information sharing.
The Regional District elected officials and staff express gratitude to the Gitxsan Huwilp Government and hereditary leaders for their hospitality.
