The Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine was incorporated on September 14th, 1967  under the Municipal Act. Regional Districts provide services to rural areas in B.C.  We administer  approximately 50 services including: 
    - Rural Land Use Planning 
 
    - Solid Waste Facilities, Services and Programs 
 
    - Community Water and Sewer Systems 
 
    - Fire Protection and Emergency Support Services 
 
    - Parks and Recreation 
 
    - Animal Services 
 
    - Bylaw Enforcement
 
    - And More 
 
 We rely  on the skills and experience of almost 50 full and part-time employees and  contractors.
 2018 expenditures exceed $31 million.
The Northwest BC Resource Benefits Alliance is administered by the Regional  District of Kitimat-Stikine.
